The former-QI host has announced he is battling cancer.

Stephen Fry has revealed he has prostate cancer, following an MRI scan. The 60-year-old tweeted a 12 minute video with the news, he wrote: "For the last 2 months I’ve been in the throes of a rather unwelcome and unexpected adventure. I’m sorry I haven’t felt able to talk about it till now, but here I am explaining what has been going on." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yDNAc8YS9c Clip via - samfryltd After going for a flu jab, the former-QI host had a full health check, when his doctor noticed an anomaly in his prostate-specific antigen levels, they were unusually high. After an MRI scan, which Fry described as "taking a sledgehammer to a peanut", cancerous tissues were found in his prostate. https://twitter.com/stephenfry/status/967000834805465089 In early January Fry underwent surgery, which he said "went well", aimed at removing the "aggressive" cancerous tissue. He said: "Cancer is a word that rings in your head. 'I’ve got cancer' I kept saying to myself, good heavens. "You’re not supposed to get cancer. I know it’s a cliche but you don’t think it’s going to happen to you, cancer is something that happens to other people."
