Stop it, no, mam, no.
Secondary school is hard. You don’t want to look like a nerd. You’re not one of the cool kids, but you’re also not a total loser. You get invited to parties. Girls talk to you sometimes.
Not only that, but you do well at school, You get good grades. Because you put in the work. You are proud of you work.
The exams come. You think you’ve done well. And school is over. You have survived.
And come results day, it all pays off. You get the results you deserve.
The BBC even come to your school on results day. They do those live broadcasts, that they always do on results day. You’re going to be on national TV.
And then they drag your mam on, and gives you a big kiss, and your life is ruined.
That’s what happened to Fraser, from Greenfaulds High School, in Cumbernauld. Scotland.
