From Paul Galvin to Bernard Brogan, there are plenty of stylish Gaelic footballers
While plenty of fashion crimes have been committed by sports stars in our time, there are a good few very dapper lads who give the rest of them a good name.
In our Style Champion feature in association with JD Sports, we’ll have a look at a few of those who have dressed more best than the rest (it rhymes even if it doesn’t make sense), starting with the lads of the GAA.
Bernard Brogan
He’s hosted a few style events in his time, not least with ourselves here at JOE where he told us about his own style, as well as showing off his dapper look for the cameras too.
Paul Galvin
From the beard to the hair to the clothes, Galvin truly is a stylish man that looks good no matter what the occasion. Whether he’s rocking the full suit or simply some jeans and a shirt, he always gives it that personal touch.
Of course, it’s more than just style for Galvin, it’s an absolute passion, as he has a blog of his own about fashion, he’s the face (or haircut/brand ambassador) of Layrite here in Ireland, and really knows his stuff, even when it comes to high fashion rather than high street. A serious contender for the title.
Philly McMahon
When he first burst on to the scene, he wasn’t as stylish as is now. Although we hesitate to say he’s gone full hipster…well he’s gone full hipster. With the rest of the Dublin squad in their plain shirts and ties, Philly decided to show up in a slim fit suit, suspenders and a bow tie, matched with some thick-rimmed glasses. #Individual

You’d almost say he’s a chip off the ol’ block of his uncle (we’re presuming), the ever stylish Vince McMahon.
