Survey reveals the profession that drinks the most tea and who’s least likely to make a round

So who's making the brew?

So who’s making the brew?

I’m entirely convinced that the blood of most Irish people is comprised of at least 30% tea because we have an obsession with the drink that’s unlike no other country.

We all have one friend who swears that they can’t function without a ‘cup of scald’ but it seems that we’re cutting back on the amount of tea that we drink in work.

A recent survey revealed that one in five people are taking fewer tea breaks in the office than they did five years ago due to the fear that their bosses might think that they’re slacking off.

Half of the people interviewed also claimed that they were too busy for a cup of tea. Blasphemy I say!

This being said, the average office worker still has at least four cuppas a day. Gods honest truth, I knock back about six.

Now for the truly shocking news. This study also revealed that two out of five bosses/managers never make a brew for their colleagues. Poor form.

Mr Burns Irish Water

If you know any ‘billy no mates’ with the kettle – i.e. people that regularly make themselves a cup of tea but don’t ask anyone else if they want one – then this information is definitely for them.

Men are more likely to employ this sneaky tactic while there’s plenty of other interesting titbits from this tea-riffic research.

Fell free to tag anyone that fits the findings below and invite them over for a cup of tea. Anyone who has poor tea-making habits needs to be named and shamed.
