Talk about burning rubber… and cash.
A Swedish businessman by the name of Anders Wiklof was caught by local traffic police in Finland doing 12kph over the speed limit, so the police decided to fine him a WHOPPING €95,000.
Why? Well, because Mr Wiklof is a millionaire…
Mr Wiklof, 67, is a well-known businessman and art collector in Aland, a Swedish-speaking region of Finland, where speeding tickets are issued based on your income. Sounds fair enough, right? Well, not according to Mr Wiklof…
In an interview, the millionaire businessman said the €95,000 ticket was “unfair”.
“I’d rather put that money on the elderly, health, day care or whatever. I have only myself to blame, but one can question whether it is fair.
“Should I drive too fast in Sweden, I would have received 4000 crowns (£385) in fines and there is a huge difference.”
Well, as the lyric says: ‘Mo money, mo problems…’
