Take a first look at Tayto Park's brand new and exciting ride, The Viking Voyage

It's coming along very nicely...

Construction is very much under way for the new Viking-themed flume ride at Tayto Park, and is set to be ready for action this June.

With 1.7 million litres of water, a Viking village, five replica Viking ships and 20 life-size Vikings, you can expect a really fun, really wet day out this summer.

Over 10,000 tonnes of concrete and 500 tonnes of steel have gone into the construction of the ride so far. Have a look for yourself:

As you can see, it looks like it's gonna be really cool, and why wouldn't it be?

Tayto have recruited Viking experts from Sweden and contractors who have worked in major worldwide theme parks and film sets including Disneyland and Game of Thrones to help out, and it shows.
