Every last one of us has groaned at those dreadful jokes that come out of a Christmas cracker, apart from the weird uncle who thinks Roy Chubby Brown is the new messiah.
Well, this year’s top Christmas joke has been chosen by TV comedy channel Gold. Drumroll…
‘What will be missing from Take That’s Christmas stocking this year? An Orange.’
That’s it. And there’s the tumbleweed.
In fairness, there’s no point expecting greatness from the same TV channel that voted this top in 2013: ‘What does Miley Cyrus have at Christmas? Twerky.’
“This year’s top 10 confirmed what I always suspected – that there are comedians everywhere,” said comedy critic Bruce Dessau. “The entrants came up with quips that were cheeky, smart and snappy, the perfect combination for the perfect Christmas cracker joke.”
That’s it. We’re cancelling Christmas.
