How often do you get a proper lunch?

It’s easy to get into the habit of working through lunch, munching on a limp sandwich at your desk as you try to update another boring spreadsheet. That growing collection of crumbs in your keyboard is just another sad reminder of squandered opportunities and joyless lunchtimes.

Sure, it’s sunny outside but you’ve a lot on…

It’s time to stop, people! Tayto believes that lunch should be about lunch and they plan to reclaim lunchtimes across Ireland. It’s all part of their “It’s not lunchtime… It’s Tayto time!” campaign.

It’s a revolutionary concept but don’t you think you deserve to get away from the office, to sit down to a proper meal and actually enjoy a well-deserved break?

Tayto has drafted in some big name guests to take part in a series of nationwide lunchtime events. It promises to be the hottest lunchtime ticket in town.

First up on the tour is an event in Limerick Parkway Shopping Centre on Monday, 20 March, with talks by two of Ireland’s leading fashion and lifestyle bloggers – Suzanne Jackson (SoSueMe) and Limerick’s very own Louise Cooney.

There is a stellar line-up for their Dublin event in CHQ on Tuesday, 21 March. Conor McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh will be appearing alongside All-Ireland winner and former Kerry footballer Paul Galvin. They’ll be joined by Irish Olympian Natalya Coyle, comedian Des Bishop and Today FM’s Louise Duffy.

Next up on the whistlestop tour is UCC in Cork on Wednesday, 22 March. It’s a family affair, with brothers John Kavanagh and Snapchat superstar James Kavanagh joining MC and radio legend KC for the big event.

The final stop on the tour is at The Spanish Arch in Galway on Thursday, 23 March. The Spanish Arch is a fitting venue, as one of the city’s nicest places to spend your lunchtime. Local musician and producer Daithí will be the guest on the day.

All of the events will take place between 12pm and 2pm and they promise to be a great occasion. So unshackle yourself from your desk, leave the computer behind and get out for a bit of lunchtime inspiration.

From now on, it’s not lunchtime…it’s Tayto time!

Mr Tayto wants to call an end to desk dining and give you back your lunch break! Step away from the desk, ditch the paperwork and enjoy your break at lunchtime with a pack of the nation’s favourite crisps!
