Tea and gin lovers rejoice, Blackwater Barry’s Tea Irish Gin is making a comeback

Tea gin

Great news for anyone who loves tea and gin.

Given the monumental success of the recent Blackwater Barry’s Tea Irish Gin, it comes as no surprise to see the drink making a return as the temperatures begin to drop.

Within a few weeks of its release, the blend sold-out in most retailers and this second limited run is likely to be just as popular.

In terms of its taste, the innovative gin combines Barry’s Tea Classic Blend with Sicilian lemons, sweet Spanish oranges, juniper berries and cinnamon.

Speaking of the partnership, Barry’s Tea Master Blender, Denis Daly, said: “So many people are coming home this time of year – whether from overseas or within Ireland. The evenings are getting darker and we are looking for comfort, so many people tell us that they associate this with Barry’s Tea.

“That warmth, that feeling of home. This is the perfect time to bring back our limited-edition Blackwater Barry’s Tea Irish Gin, allowing people to enjoy the flavour of Barry’s Tea in a completely different way. We are proud to work with Blackwater Distillery – another brand known for their craft as we are for ours.”

Blackwater Barry’s Tea Irish Gin is available in a limited run with only 10,000 bottles going on sale in retailers around the country and it’s available now for a price of €35.

Speaking of the special edition gin, Peter Mulryan, Co-founder of Blackwater Distillery, said: “The flavours of tea make it a perfect complement for this time of year – it’s ideal for a winter cocktail or Christmas present. Demand for Blackwater Barry’s Tea Irish Gin last year was high and we’re proud to bring it back this year.”

A nice little present for the tea and gin lover in your life.
