Those pesky millennial types have struck yet again with the news that Tesco Ireland have stepped up their avocado game by introducing a new miniature range of the contentious fruit.
The Instagram-friendly foodstuff is coming to Tesco shelves in snack-size form for a limited time only at a price of €3.50 for a six-pack.
24 times smaller than the giant-sized ‘Avozilla’ avocado, the rare mini versions – or Zilla Eggs if you want to out-hipster your mates – are “perfect for customers who want to snack,” according to Tesco fresh produce category director Joe Manning.
And with a job title like that, he sounds like he knows what he’s on about.
What’s more, the special size is specifically developed in a bid to combat food waste, so you can feel good about yourself despite never being able to enter the housing market.
