Where do you go for groceries?

Gone are the days when we used to raid the presses of the family home for food on a Sunday evening.

Now we actually go to the supermarket, do the shopping ourselves AND we even spend our own money. Yep, no big deal.

We don’t have a supermarket of choice, but the latest figures from Kantar Worldpanel have revealed there’s a new top dog in Ireland.

SuperValu is now the most popular supermarket in Ireland with a market share of 24.9%, the Irish company replace Tesco as the top-ranked grocery retailer.

Tesco are just behind on 24.7%, Dunnes Stores are next best on 22.7% market share, Aldi have 11.1% and Lidl have 9.7%.
