The good folk of Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania, recently dropped a gigantic pumpkin on a small van, destroying it in the process… all in the name of tradition.

There are some pretty weird traditions out there – especially in America – but dropping a huge vegetable on a small vehicle all in the name of fun seems like one of the weirdest traditions there is. Even still, that hasn’t stopped the people of Conneaut Lake, Pennsylvania, from kicking off the town’s annual Pumpkin Fest by dropping a 540kg pumpkin a total of 36 meters (120-feet) onto what looks like an ex-postal van. Unsurprisingly, the van is completely destroyed by the smash and there’s not much of the pumpkin left over either. We feel sorry for whoever had to clean up the mess at the end of the event...
