A survey of 5,500 Irish people by AA Motor Insurance has revealed the most ‘dumb’ things motorists have done in the last 12 months.
We’re sorry to say that we’re guilty of a fair few of these.
15. Driven away and forgot paying for petrol
14. Locked your keys into the car
13. Put the wrong fuel into the car
12. Gone the wrong way down a one way street
11. Driven away with the petrol/diesel cap open
10. Driven into a bollard/similar
9. Driven away with something on your roof
8. Missed the coin basket at the toll booth
7. Blocked part of a junction for the oncoming traffic
6. Couldn’t find your parking ticket when you went to pay
5. Accidentally set off your car alarm
4. Left your lights on
3. Accidentally run a red light
2. Tried to open a car door and realised it wasn’t your car
