JOE takes on the lovely ladies of Her.ie in a struggle to create the perfect outfit for a first date

Every now and then a battle so epic comes along that it deserves a soundtrack scored by Hans Zimmer himself. This is just such a battle. The lads of JOE and the girls of Her.ie have gotten together to pick out the perfect outfit for a first date from our mates at jacamo.ie, so that no matter what shape or size you are, you’ll look dapper from the first moment the two of you meet.

Penguin crew neck jumper
We like the brand Penguin, they make some pretty classic and cool gear, and this jumper is the perfect place to start your outfit. Pair it with a plain white Oxford shirt underneath, or a simple white t-shirt if you don’t fancy having the collar show through, and you’re already looking slick. Throw some trousers on too though, just to be safe. €87.50

Label J Men’s chinos
Wine and cranberry (whatever you want to term this yourself) are two great colours for autumn that are also on trend, and these chinos will also work well with the navy jumper. €37.49

Voi multi belt
Although you might not always see it, a good belt can make or break an outfit. This multi-coloured belt has a bit of cream and navy in it, which should work well with the jumper and the trousers. €30.99

Hamnett Gold lace up Brogue
A good brogue will always make you look smart, even if this is a nice casual shoe rather than fully formal. You can also throw these on with a pair of jeans and still look very slick on a night out, it’s all about versatility lads. €74.99

Southbay long sleeve denim shirt
Once again we’ve chosen to pair blue with the trousers, simply because it really works well. If you want to go with this denim shirt then you can skip the jumper, but the two shades of blue should work together nicely if you want to use both. €20.99

Keep an eye out on the two sites tomorrow when we’ll be posting the poll where you’ll be able to vote for your preferred outfit.
