The Harry Potter tour at Warner Bros. Studio are looking for staff members

Paul Moore

Harry Potter Christmas

The dream job for any massive Harry Potter fans you know.

Did your Hogwarts letter get lost in the mail? Yep, us too.

To be honest, this particular writer already knows that the sorting hat would place me in Gryffindor – their do things first, never think things through approach seems like my type of philosophy- but for any wannabe witches and wizards that missed out on a wizarding education, Warner Bros. Studio Tour- The Making of Harry Potter in Leavesden, Watford has the next best thing.

You don’t need to have aced the O.W.Ls or your N.E.W.Ts because the tour is hiring Visitor Experience Hosts.

Granted, in terms of the dream profession, we all want to be Aurors or teachers at Hogwarts (well, may not Defence Against the Dark Arts because horrific events usually befall teachers in that post) but this role will definitely excite anyone that loves Harry Potter.

Ok, so what does it involve?

As the posting states, staff must “ensure that our visitors are welcomed warmly to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour and that they experience the very highest standards of customer care and interpretive support in an exciting, intriguing and safe environment.”

Basically, don’t hex, curse, injure, kill, poison, or let a cave troll loose on any of the guests.

The successful candidates are expected to have excellent communication, interpersonal and reasoning skills, along with the ability to communicate interpretive elements to visitors.

Aside from this, an outgoing personality is welcomed – that rules out Ravenclaws, so – while some previous work experience in a customer facing role is an advantage.

Finally, the ability to adapt to new situations and be able to work well as part of a team is encouraged.

While that sounds like they type of job spec that Hermione would write, we’re certain that the job is as easy as casting the Wingardium Leviosa spell.

Full details about the role can be found here and if you’re application is successful, expecto fun.
