What’s in a name?
I’ve always wondered about how these lists about the most popular names are researched and analysed.
Is there some unwritten rule that requires every newborn child to have their name registered into a gigantic computer mainframe that cross-references this data with the previous year?
Probably not.
No need to wonder though because Nameberry is the definitive database for the most popular names that parents give their newborn children and here’s their most popular monikers for 2015.
I’ve my doubts that Irish people use this site though, especially when you see some of the more ‘abstract’ entries.
