The top 5 best nightclubs in Ireland have been revealed

Dance! Dance! Dance!

Joe Harrington

Have you been to many of these?

There are a lot of different types of nightclubs in Ireland;

The high-end places who love turning people away.
The places that haven’t been cleaned in 13 years.
The places that still use bubble and smoke machines.
The last resort spot that never turns anyone away.
The places that play Journey – “Don’t Stop Believin'” at the end of the night.
The places where teachers, guards and nurses congregate.

And so on.

There are loads and loads of options, but DJ Mag have gone and found the five best clubs in Ireland.

Here are their findings, along with a blurb on what they had to say about each one:

Button Factory (Dublin)

“The Button Factory is a large multi-purpose music venue in the heart of Dublin that hosts dance music’s biggest artists.”

Wright Venue (Dublin)

“Dublin’s largest nightclub is split over four themed floors with a capacity of 2,000 people. The venue regularly hosts both local and international DJ talent, including Afrojack and Paul Van Dyk.”

Wright Venue

Thompsons Garage (Belfast)

“The crowd are young and passionate about EDM. Zane Lowe is a regular guest here, and a firm crowd favourite.”

Thompsons Garage

Havana Browns (Cork)

“Constantly at the forefront of music and nightlife. It regularly plays host to local and international DJs and is a go-to venue for Cork’s electronic music fraternity.”

Havana Browns

The Twisted Pepper (Dublin)

“With its thunderous Void sound system and on-point, underground booking policy, Dublin’s brilliantly-named Twisted Pepper is one of Ireland’s best clubs.”

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis credit the place for making them in Ireland. We love this video.
