The Time Out Global Dating Survey, after polling 11,000 people in 24 cities across the world, has announced that the British accent is officially the sexiest in the world, replacing the French accent in the numero un spot.
That’s French for “number one”, we think.
The American accent bagged second place on the list, while our own beloved Irish accent rounded off the top three. We reckon our success is probably down to the sterling accent work of none other than the Frostbit Kid himself, Ruairí McSorley.

The Australian accent was placed at number four, while the demoted French accent rounded off the top five.
The poll also revealed that Paris is the best dating spot in the world, followed by Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing and Chicago. Clearly none of the people taking the poll had been to Coppers on a cold, lonely Tuesday night.
Additionally, one in 10 people believed that sex was acceptable on the first date, more than 50% kissed on the first date, while 58% of people said they stalked checked people out on social media before going on a date with them.
Yeah, we know what you’re thinking; only 58% admitted to checking people out on social media before meeting them in real life?
