Paddy’s Day is normally a day people put aside to do some heavy drinking. Having said that, if you don’t fancy getting trampled on, then avoiding large populated areas is a good shout. If you’re someone who likes to taste their drink rather than horse it back, there’s a nice alternative to the usual festivities the day after Paddy’s day. On 18 March, House Dublin is hosting a drink fair to celebrate the best in Irish drinks. Whether you like your crafty beers, whiskey, gin or even soft drinks, there’ll be something to suit your tastes. richard dreyfuss film GIF The venue which is made up of two Georgian Townhouses on Leeson Street. It will play host to 20 different distilleries and breweries on the day. All four provinces will be represented, including Franciscan Well Brewery from Cork and Shortcross Gin from Co. Down. You’ll have the chance to sample brand new products for the very first time. The festival kicks off at midday and goes to 8 pm. Along with all the libations, there’ll also be traditional and folk music. The best part is, admission is completely free. For more information, check out their website.
