Lonely Planet is releasing its 12th edition of The Irish Guide and has published its top 21 things to see and do in Ireland.

We won’t delay any further, so here’s the list, which makes for very interesting reading.

East Coast of Ireland: Meath: Newgrange. This is a view of Newgrange taken on the 3rd December 2009 at 9:00am. At this time the full moon rises before the sun sets and sets after the sun has risen - so that hunters have light for 24 hours, which is why the moon is called the Hunters' Moon. As an added bonus, the moonset was just over Newgrange, the largest and most famous Megalithic burial tomb in Ireland. In the foreground to the left can be seen a small burial tomb.
