Can you help?

Sean Paul McCabe came disastrously close to severing his spinal cord when he dived into the shallow end of a pool while holidaying in Ibiza. His family have taken to GoFundMe, seeking help in bringing their son home.

The 20-year old from Belfast is currently hospitalised in San Antonio, where doctors will operate in an attempt to fix his broken spine.

His mam and dad, Edith and Gerald, have flown out to Ibiza in order to be at their son’s bedside. His sister Denise is also there. This has led to lots of unexpected costs for the family, so they have asked for some help in their time of need.

The internet has obliged, and the McCabe family are well on their way to reaching their goal of €5000 euro within 24 hours, but they are still about €1500 short.

As Sean did not have insurance, it will cost €20,000 to bring him home, so the family is in dire need of assistance.
