This vine of a truck flying off a road in the US is 100 per cent real and 100 per cent mental

The driver of the truck in question is said to have sustained serious injuries but, thankfully, is on the road to recovery after this quite shocking crash in Michigan last Friday.

The advent of dash-cams means that footage of crazy incidents on roads worldwide – particularly in Russia – is becoming more commonplace but a vine recorded on a busy thoroughfare in Michigan last Friday is still shocking by anyone’s standards.

The vine was recorded by Western Michigan University student Alexandria Stack, who captured footage of a pickup truck with a trailer attached to the back veering onto the side of the road at speed and then up and over a guardrail and into a creek below.

The footage looks so spectacular that it was initially thought that it might have been fake but it has since been confirmed that the crash did occur.

The 59-year old driver was extricated from the vehicle by the local fire department but was conscious and talking with police on the scene afterwards before being brought to hospital for treatment on the injuries he sustained in the accident.

The clip might only be six seconds long but you won’t come across a crazier vine all year.
