Dublin Zoo Wild Lights

‘Ocean of Light’ is the theme for this year’s exhibit.

Dublin Zoo’s Wild Lights was a massive success last year, and those who went to see it will be delighted with the news that tickets for this year’s exhibit will go on sale on Friday morning.

Illuminated lanterns will portray creatures from giant squid and emperor penguins to colossal blue whales and seahorses.

The zoo will be transformed into “a world of illumination” with lanterns tailor-made especially for this year’s event.

Spectacular new themes feature in this year’s enchanting experience – ‘Winter Wonderland’, home to Arctic favourites such as polar bears and walruses, ‘Celebrating China’, bringing a flavour of the East and ‘The North Pole’, with a dazzling 16-metre high silk Christmas Tree and festive displays.

Wild Lights will open on Thursday 1 November, and will run on selected dates throughout that month. It will then be open for all of December except for the 24, 25 and 26.

It will come to a halt on 6 January.

It will be open from 5pm-8pm with the last entry being at 8pm.

Sounds good to us.

Tickets will go on sale on the official Dublin Zoo website on Friday morning at 9.30am.

Admission to the exhibit will cost €20 for adults and €15 for children.
