The last day for the journalist powerhouse at RTÉ…
David Davin-Power was best known for being a political editor for the country’s broadcaster, as well as being a major correspondent for RTÉ news and current affairs.
Today was his last day there, and took to Twitter to look back over his years in that position.

I’ve been an eye witness to so many amazing events like the ceasefires and the GFA but it’s time for new challenges now

With that, Twitter began to fill with fond farewells for the journalist.
Best wishes to David Davin-Power who retires as RTE’s political editor today. Great colleague over many years.

RTÉ political coverage without David Davin-Power is hard to imagine. His voice _was_ politics for 30+ years of my life. https://t.co/ucBzmTMida
