WATCH: Tourism Ireland’s latest video shows off the natural beauty of the Causeway Coast

Just one beautiful piece of scenery after another.

Rory Cashin

Too often we look abroad for the breath-taking natural beauty that be found in the world, and too often we forget that one of the most famous natural sites can be found right here.

A volcanic eruption caused around 40,000 interlocking basalt columns to be created, but the video below gives us not just the Giant’s Causeway, but the whole length and breath of the Coastal Route.

It kicks off with what was voted the top tourist attraction in the world – the Titanic Museum – and heads all the way to the famous site itself, which is just about three miles away from the town of Bushmills, which should sound familiar to lovers of whiskey.

As Tourism Island themselves put it, the video was created to highlight the sights on Northern Island’s most famous coastline – from the majestic cliff-top castles and swaying sea bridges, to a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the jewel of the route tumbles into the seas.

Potential visitors can see what’s ahead of them across this exciting landscape as they find out about travelling along the Causeway Coastal Route.

Check out the short video below, and let it easily convince you to check out the route in reality before too long:
