“Did you get your course?”
This morning, young people all over Ireland will see their phones lit up with messages enquiring as to whether or not they’ve got the course they wanted in the first-round of CAO offers.
Here at JOE HQ, we’re hopeful that everybody is happy with their offer – despite the sharp incline in the requirements for many courses as more secondary school students seek third-level education.
Twitter has been abuzz with students expressing both their delight and disappointed with the first-round of offers – with some students even discovering that their desired course has gone up by 105 points.
Some, on the other hand, have simply forgotten their CAO code.

So proud of my mum @cathmca for following her dream to go to college. She'll be studying law and social justice in UCD this year #CAO2016
