That’s right, it’s 2016 and someone is still claiming the world is flat.
It would be one thing to make the claim in 1516 before the globe-circumnavigating exploits of the likes of Ferdinand Magellan and Christopher Columbus, but 500 years later, rapper and producer Bobby Ray Simmons Jr., AKA B.o.B, still thinks the world is flat.
B.o.B, a public face of the flat-Earthers movement that has been gaining momentum of late, made the claims in a series of tweets in the last few days.
There are loads of them, which you can see here, but we’ve included a selection below, some of which were challenged by renowned astrophysicist and cosmologist Neil deGrasse Tyson amongst others.

@bobatl Flat Earth is a problem only when people in charge think that way. No law stops you from regressively basking in it.

@bobatl Duude — to be clear: Being five centuries regressed in your reasoning doesn’t mean we all can’t still like your music

Far more entertaining, however, were some of the tweets that didn’t necessarily try to reason with BoB’s line of thinking but preferred to take the p*ss instead.

BoB, however, is sticking to his guns…
No I'm not crazy , Yes I'm feeling fine, no I'm not doing anything stronger than weed, am I doing this to promote my music .. No…
