We’ll give you a second to guess who…

Yes, you guessed correctly, Conor McGregor and Rory McIlroy have placed once again among the highest-paid athletes in the world and have made their way onto the prestigious Forbes rich list.

McGregor is the big gainer on the list as he jumps a whopping 61 places to rank in at 24th spot on the list.

The two-weight UFC Champion was projected to have an annual earning of $34 million, which is good enough to put him in the top quarter of highest paid athletes.

Highest among the Irish on the list is Rory McIlroy who moves up into the top ten on the list to earn his spot at joint sixth on the list.

We assume the recent massive endorsements he signed with Nike and TaylorMade had a big impact in his jump from 17th spot last year.

He earned a cool $50 million in salaries, prize money and various endorsements between June last year and June this year.

In at number one with earnings of $93 million is that man, Cristiano Ronaldo, with LeBron James, Lionel Messi, Roger Federer and Kevin Durant rounding out the top five on the list.

Forbes’ earnings figures include salaries, bonuses, prize money, appearance fees, as well as licensing and endorsement income for the past 12 months. Endorsement incomes are an estimate of sponsorship deals, appearance fees and licensing fees for the 12 months through June 1 based on conversations with dozens of industry insiders.  The list only includes athletes active during the last 12 months.
