UL students have been sharing their procrastination snaps, and they are absolutely brilliant

Alan Loughnane

A very creative bunch altogether…

It’s exam time in the University of Limerick and that means a few things for the students.

Firstly, it will be virtually impossible to get a seat in the library after 8.01am.

You will not actually study while in the library, but rather use it as place of social gathering where you wander from desk to desk having the chats with everyone you pass.

It’s a fashion show in the library during study week and shapes will be thrown during your walk along the aisle for your third toilet break in an hour or during your trip to the cafe at the entrance.

Procrastination will reach new levels of creativity and people will raise their Snapchat game to a level you thought only reserved for people with more time than sense.

Student villages will turn into “centres for divilment” (This is an official term), where students will bask in the inevitable sun and generally do anything that doesn’t involve studying.

College Court will become a sea of chairs, couches and other household furniture on the lawns with a dodgy set of speakers playing house music on the window sill.

The University of Limerick Student Union have their finger on the pulse. They know the craic. They know the story on study week and exam time.

That’s why they ran a competition on their Facebook page to try and discover the most creative Snapchatter in UL, and they produced some top notch results.

The winner of the Prcrastisnaps competition? Oh, just this hilarious effort.

While there was no topping this effort, there were plenty others who showed they can be funny feckers on Snapchat while they carelessly procrastinate their future away.
