US website names a well known Dublin location as one of Europe’s most hipster neighborhoods

I knew this before…

Much like Gremlins that are left out in the rain, hipsters seem to be multiplying at a rate that’s beyond control. Each to their own but there’s no denying that Ireland has seen an increase in the amount of beards, gluten-free diets, flexi-bikes and vegan crunk raves (whatever the bejesus they might be).

It seems that the Huffington Post have identified Ireland’s main location where some people might comment on how “authentic the food is” or name-drop bands that nobody has ever heard of.

In an article about Europe’s largest hipster neighborhoods they say that ‘The Hipster Triangle’ in Dublin is “really a thing. And yes, as you might imagine, you’ll never be too far from an organic/vegan/locally cultivated dish — or a Mason jar beverage. Everything in this area is home-grown and carefully crafted, but above all, kitschy as hell. Head to Designist for practical housewares with flair or Irish Design Shop, where seriously hip couples can embrace their internal need to DIY and learn how to make their own wedding rings”.

For those of you unfamiliar with the area, here’s where the triangle is on the map. To be honest, there are some cracking bars and restaurants in the area and here’s hoping that this publicity sees them get some more business.

I wonder if these fresh faced new customers will notice all those skinny jeans, ironic moustaches or deep discussions about unknown Spanish philosophers in Starbucks though?
