Looking to work Down Under?

Are you seeking work abroad? Specifically in the popular haunt that is Australia? Well, it just might be your lucky day.

USIT, long-renowned for providing Irish people with the knowledge and the means to work and travel across the globe, is set to make 5,000 Australian job vacancies available to Irish working holiday-makers at a forthcoming virtual job fair.

The fair will take place from Monday, 25 July until Friday, 29 July. Interested parties may take part in online interviews for jobs starting as early as September in both Australia and New Zealand.

The age limit for any Irish citizens wanting to work and travel in Australia stands at 18 – 35. Earlier in 2022, the Australian government announced changes to its Working Holiday Maker programme, enabling visa holders to work for the same employer or organisation for a limitless period of time.

Previously, this was capped at just six months. The new measure is currently valid for all working holiday visa holders until Saturday, 31 December, 2022.

Interested? The job fair – virtual, remember – can be signed up for at USIT’s website, where you will also find a detailed description of the exact type of roles available.

The jobs on offer will be aimed at individuals planning to travel to Australia between 15 September – 15 October. Each interview is expected to last for around 20 minutes.

Candidates should know the outcome of their application by the start of the following week.
