“Holy mother of moo-moo…”
This following footage was captured Sunday evening in Mer Rouge, Louisiana, and it features the moment a Union Pacific train smashes into a large truck, which had become stuck on the tracks.
Unfortunately, the two train engineers were seriously injured in the smash, but both were conscious and taken to hospital for treatment, reports The New Star.
The driver of the truck managed to escape unscathed after he bailed from his cab before the train reached the crossing. Judging by the force of the impact, it was lucky that no one was killed.
Speaking about the incident Mer Rouge Mayor, Johnny McAdams, said: “We’re lucky that wasn’t one of our oil trains that we get 10 times a day.
“If it had been an oil train, we would have had a fire and then we would have had fatalities.”
