Edgy stuff this.
Last night in Vancouver at the opening night of the new U2 world tour, The Edge took an unfortunate tumble when he fell off…eh..the edge of the stage.
He’s not the only high-profile celebrity to fall over in public. We take a look at some of the most memorable falls we’ve seen over the years involving celebrities.
Madonna at the Brit Awards
Who could forget this amazing fall from one of biggest pop legends of all time at the recent Brit Awards?

Lesser individuals would have walked off crying, but not Madge. She continued on like the consumate professional that she is.
Naomi Campbell in Paris
One of the most beautiful women on the planet, Naomi Campbell has earned millions as a super-model. She is a catwalk queen, but even the very best have an off day.
This fall was way back in 1993 during a show for Vivienne Westwood in Paris. Nice to see her laughing it off though.
Juan Gabriel in Texas
Juan Gabriel is a very famous Mexican singer. Back in 2005 when performing in Houston, Texas, he had this unfortunate fall.

It’s a spectacularly funny fall, especially as the steps leading up to it are full of swagger and confidence. He was very fortunate to have only fractured his wrist after it.
Beyoncé in Orlando
Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is an amazing, beautiful singer and performer. We love her. Back in Orlando in 2007, she came down a set of stairs faster than Humpty Dumpty did off his wall.

Thankfully Queen Bey walked away relatively unscathed and only her pride was hurt.
Ed Sheeran in New England
You’d be right for wondering how Ed Sheeran would fall over during a live performance. He usually just stands there with his guitar singing his heart out. He should never try anything else. This is why:
He was supporting Taylor Swift on her American tour when this happened. In fairness to the man, he did the whole fall and roll technique superbly to minimise any damage to his ginger bonce.
Keith Lemon on Celebrity Juice
He is one funny man and this show is a riot. You’d almost expect a fall like this to be part of the script, but no, it’s just another brilliant celebrity fall.
Jennifer Lawrence at the Oscars
Probably our favourite actress and someone who can do no wrong in our eyes. Even this fall is full of elegance and eh….funny.
It’s the biggest moment of your professional life and the whole world is watching you. Nothing else to do but make it memorable and Jennifer, yet again, nails it.
Paul Alcock at Hillsborough
Some of you wondering who Paul Alcock is. He’s not a celebrity of great note. He was a referee in the Premier League. After sending off Paolo Di Canio in a match against Arsenal in 1998, the Italian was miffed and promptly shoved Alcock. The fall, to this day, is a thing of real beauty.
Di Canio received an 11 match ban for this. We think he should have received the freedom of Sheffield.
The ice-man cometh
Okay, he wasn’t a celebrity when this happened, but he sure was after it happened. In one of the most spectacular falls ever caught on camera, ladies and gentlemen, this is the RTE ice guy:
We’re still not sure if this man was ever tracked down, but we are of the opinion that he should be given some sort of lifetime achievement award.
