Basking sharks aren’t strangers to Irish shores but it’s rare enough that anyone gets as close to them as Noel O’Leary did last night.
Noel was kayaking just outside Dingle Harbour when he came across a huge basking shark in the water.
He decided to get as near as possible to the sea creature and the footage he captured is spectacular, have a look below.
