One lucky JOE reader won a wardrobe overhaul from Littlewoods Ireland along with a session with a professional stylist
Along with our mates at Littlewoods Ireland, one lucky JOE reader won a fantastic prize of a wardrobe overhaul worth €400, and got to come along to JOE towers to get some quality advice from style expert Tanya Grimson.
The winner was Michael Reynolds, who wasn't too far off the right track when he came in. What he wanted was to get a few ideas and some inspiration that might push him outside his comfort zone a little bit, and Tanya was there to help him when it came both to style and colouring.
He got to try three different outfits that Tanya put together that focus on trends, as well as still keeping the "man's man" vibe that Michael was comfortable in.
For the first look, there was a concentration on the nautical and casual look, with a simple but stylish
Lyle & Scott crew neck tee that blends the classic blue and white of seafaring folk. That was
paired with some skinny fit chinos as well as a
Penguin jacket that completes the outfit, and is functional as well as fashionable.
Secondly, Tanya put together an outfit for more formal occasions with a touch of colour, and this one was all about upping the game in every way. An incredibly slick pair
of Ben Sherman slim fit trousers with the matching
suit jacket form the basis of the outfit, but some vibrancy is injected in the form of
this floral print shirt which is right on trend at the moment. A splash of colour comes from
this orange v-neck jumper that is bold enough on its own to not need any further pattern. Finally, and one of our favourites of the day, these
Unsung Hero brown brogues give a sharp edge to this suit once again bringing interesting shades in to play. They would work with anything from jeans to chinos too, and are a great piece to add to your wardrobe.
For the third outfit there was a more casual look, influenced by an urban style that would be perfect for a trip to the pub with the lads, which consisted of
this Voi jacket paired with a classic
Lyle & Scott crew neck jumper that can be added to both casual and smarter outfits. As always, any man's wardrobe is in need of the perfect pair of denim, so
