If you’re a petrol head, or just a fan of vintage cars, then you might not want to watch the video below as it features a true classic getting absolutely destroyed in a pretty horrific looking crash.

Last weekend wasn’t the greatest for poor Edmund Burgess after he destroyed his 1924 Bugatti racing car  (we think it’s a Type 35) at the Prescott Speed Hill Climb in England on Sunday. It’s a seriously nasty looking crash as Edmund’s head scrapes along the crash barrier before the car rolls over on top of him. Check it out…

Luckily, Edmund was able to walk away from the crash and according to Jalopnik, he went straight to the pub for a pint.

Here’s what he had to say about the crash: ‘It happened very suddenly. I was approaching a hairpin bend and I was going a little faster than usual, maybe 30mph, when I tried to brake.

“Before I knew it, I’d lost control and the car toppled over… My helmet must have hit the barrier, but otherwise I was OK. I decided to sit the rest of the event out in the bar with a beer.”

“I’m just irritated more than anything because it means I can’t compete again until this one is repaired.”
