Video: Amazing footage shows people saving a beached Great White Shark

This is really nice to see

Our good deed of the day was not killing the spider in the kitchen this morning…

In the aftermath of a very memorable shark week, we spotted this gem doing the rounds on social media.

Sharks often get a bad rap and are viewed as evil by some people when, in reality, the majority of shark attacks are a case of mistaken identity. That doesn’t stop us being afraid of open water or particularly deep puddles.

The footage shows a juvenile Great White Shark washed up on a beach in Massachusetts while trying to catch seagulls.

The shark was marooned on the beach and would have died if not for the work of members of the public present on the beach.

They threw buckets of water on the stranded 7ft shark keeping him alive until experts from the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy could come and revive the stricken predator.

He was eventually towed about a mile out to see and released thanks to the efforts of those involved…
