VIDEO: Blindboy Boatclub from the Rubberbandits has just spoken brilliantly about mental health

Colm Boohig

“Why is the man in the bag making sense?”

The Rubberbandits are fast becoming very sensible voices in on serious social topics, especially when it concerns mental health.

BlindBoy Boatclub has been very vocal on the topic, as we recently reported their excellent video, and now he’s back again with another message ahead of the 1916 Easter Rising centenary celebrations.

Channel 4 News has shared this clip and, at the time of writing, it already has nearly 50,000 views, despite only being up for a short time.

Discussing his Irish generation’s lost years during the recession and huge suicide problem in Ireland among youths, Blindboy asks why it is he who is making sense, and not the people in suits.

This is a must watch.
