What a mess.
The Ploughing Championships are traditionally one of the best organised and most enjoyable festivals in the country, but this celebration of the great outdoors will always be beholden to one uncontrollable factor.
The poxy Irish weather.
James Higgins has a stand at this year’s event in Tullamore and took this footage of her tent getting more than a little bit saturated.
If you’re stuck in an office this week and wishing you could have headed to Offaly for the annual festivities, this might make you feel a little bit better and whole lot drier.

The Hurricane Cattle Care stall – owned by James Higgins – is on a slope, so the tractors that have come in to try and alleviate the situation have been of little or no use.
“Within one hour the water went underneath the boards of the stall and destroyed it. Five tractors with pumps have come in to pump the water out, but it keeps flowing back in,” revealed Emma Higgins, James’ daughter.
Philip Dwyer’s tweet also shows just how messy things have got on site.
