VIDEO: David Attenborough narrates an average night at a Limerick nightclub

Tony Cuddihy

“In a lifetime spent making natural history films, I’ve been to many wonderful places.”

David Attenborough is the grandfather, the godfather, the king of observing and commentating on activities in the wild and his, ehm, ‘take’ on this Limerick nightclub is as evocative as they come.

“Nowhere else on Earth are so many animals on the move with the same urgent purpose.”

If you’ve ever been to Angel Lane in Limerick, you’ll know exactly what the great man is talking about.

“One of them drums. It’s a signal, telling the others nearby that the hunt is about to start.”

Indeed.

Many thanks to Aisling Fitzgerald for sending this our way.
