Video: Dublin’s early-bird ravers are are celebrating their first birthday in style

The perfect way to start your day

Happy birthday to Ireland’s earliest-rising ravers.

Morning Gloryville have invited fiddle-mashing dance legend Daithí to play alongside the highly energetic Lords of Strut for their first birthday event on July 29.

These sober raves offer an alternative to the standard rave format.

The events take place once a month between 6:30am and 10:30am and come with free massages, organic coffee and smoothie bars, yoga and motivational performers. The food at the birthday event will be provided by KC peaches.

The people of Dublin have been enjoying Morning Gloryville’s unique brand of conscious clubbing since July 2014, and a team of ravers took to Grafton Street to say thank you.

Here’s a video of some happy ravers hugging businessmen, binmen and high-street store owners at the crack of dawn.

The collective will hold their first birthday event on July 29 in the Hangar on St. Andrew’s Lane. Kids are welcome to the alcohol-free raves, and are admitted free of charge. Tickets are available here.
