Jacob was the clear favourite on Twitter to win the 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee over in the US and it was all thanks to the 15-year-old’s sheer enthusiasm for the… eh, sport? Just look at how excited he was after spelling the word ‘euripus’ last Wednesday...

Unfortunately for Jacob, his 2014 Scripps National Spelling Bee run came to an end in the final 12 after he misspelled the word ‘kabaragoya’, even after exclaiming to the crowd: “I KNOW IT!” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IkgKp2L1fpU&feature=youtu.be Oh well… While Jacob didn’t win this time around, we doubt it’s the last time that the Spelling Bee world will be hearing of him.   Pics via Getty
