For gamers of a certain age, there was nothing better than pulling of a perfectly executed finisher on Mortal Kombat.
All that button bashing was totally worth it though if you could manage to execute that perfect move because lets face it, no one wanted to end a fight with just a weak punch.
While we don't encourage violence in real life, there's something cathartic about disembowelling, incinerating, decapitating, freezing, exploding, impaling and tearing the limbs from your mates' character in the game.
The newest instalment in the classic franchise, Mortal Kombat X, is set to be released very soon and we found this highlights reel of the best finishers to be wonderfully nostalgic.
