And you thought you had a bad week…
Ever since we saw Jaws all those years ago, open water has been a touchy subject for us and watching Jaws II really didn’t help the situation.
Now we’re scarred for life.
This video has emerged of a female shark in South Korea devouring one of its tank mates in what has been described as a ‘turf war’ by Reuters.
It took the female nearly 21 hours to fully devour its victim during which time the tail of the shark could be seen sticking out of the female’ mouth.
We think this may be the last roommate she gets for a little while but apparently this is normal behaviour for sharks.
“Sharks have their own territory. However, sometimes when they bump against each other, they bite out of astonishment,” said the aquarium’s PR manager, Oh Tae-youp.
