Holy crap, this is so scary.
The Wormhole is a famous tourist spot on the Aran Islands that’s been made very famous by the Red Bull Cliff Diving competitions held there.
An Indian tourist was visiting that area last week and was trying to get as close as possible to The Wormhole when disaster struck.
A wave came in off the choppy Atlantic and washed her off a high cliff edge into the water, watch the terrifying footage here.
You can’t see it very clearly but the student fell into the water and was being taken out with the tide until two men came to her rescue.
The two guys made a makeshift rope out of a backpack and jacket, and managed to get it to the woman who was obviously in huge danger.
They hoisted her up the side of the cliff until she reached a safe ledge where she waited for the rescue helicopter to come for her.
Fair play to those two men, thankfully everyone was safe and sound at the end.
