Here’s hoping nothing like this ends up happening at Fota Island over the next few days.
We’re not privy to the tactics criminals use when attempting to escape the attention of pursuing police cars, but we would imagine you’d want to take them out of their comfort zone and make it a little more difficult for them than they might have expected.
That said, it’s one thing bringing them down a sh*tty narrow road and another thing altogether bringing them onto a golf course, as one criminal did in Fargo (yes that Fargo), North Dakota in recent days.
Thankfully, there was nobody on the first hole that both the fugitive and the chasing police cars encountered, but there were golfers beyond the green that could be seen scrambling for cover; mercifully, nobody was hurt and the fugitive in question was arrested on drug charges not long afterwards.
We’ve heard of a bad drive down the first fairway but this is taking the p*ss.
