He probably woke up this morning to find the winning lottery ticket in the back pocket of his jeans. Jaysus!
Due to the popularity of dashcams in Russia, we’ve seen some frightening things happen on the roads over there, but we don’t know if we’ve ever seen anything like an incident that was captured on CCTV footage in the city of Lyubertsy a couple of days ago.
At the start of the clip below not much is happening apart from a cyclist meandering along a quiet road towards a crossroads when suddenly, a car coming in the opposite direction collides spectacularly with a truck coming from the cyclist’s right, sending the truck up on its side and into a ditch a number of yards away.
It appears as if the collision was caused by the truck ignoring a yield sign but the most amazing thing is how the cyclist emerges unscathed having merely brushed up against the truck despite being caught in between both vehicles.
Thankfully, both the cyclist and the truck driver appeared to be OK and while one can’t see what happened to the driver of the red car, the fact that all passers-by went to the aid of the truck driver suggests that it he who was more in need of attention.
You could watch this over and over again and still wonder how in the hell the cyclist emerged from the incident with barely a scratch. Mad stuff Ted.
