The volcano itself was showing signs of steaming for a few days leading up to this eruption and sure enough the webcam captured it all in it’s amazing, yet frightening glory.

The volcano is on a remote island, however, the ash cloud has now travelled as far as the main island causing some evacuations.
Lets hope this doesn’t turn out like Eyjafjallajökull – the Icelandic volcano that erupted in 2010 leaving a massive cloud of ash causing havoc in Europe.
