Brave words from Emma Murphy

The issue of domestic violence has been something that we’ve examined before and one of the biggest issues regarding the topic is the stigma attached to being a victim.

I can only imagine that speaking out and looking for help is one of the hardest things imaginable but Dubliner Emma Murphy has won the respect and admiration of people everywhere with this incredibly brave, powerful and heartbreaking account of her own story.

My own words won’t do her justice but the very beginning of Emma’s passionate video gives you an indication of just how difficult a decision this was.

Ultimately as Emma herself states, the decision to tell the world her story was made with the best interests of her children in mind while also hoping that she can be an example to anyone else that’s currently suffering in silence and looking for the courage and strength to speak out.

I’ll warn you, this isn’t an easy video to watch but it’s incredibly important.

Take a look.

I thought long and hard before posting this video, this is very difficult for me but I have to do what is RIGHT, if you or anyone you know has it is in a similar situation please share this video to inspire other women around the world, violence is NOT the answer!!!!
