All is fair in love and car advertising, right?
You may remember that JOE recently brought you the excellent Mercedes-Benz ad which brilliantly made use of some chickens… no cars, just chickens.
The marketing minds behind that most recent suspension advert certainly deserve a pat on the back for the excellent ad, but now the folks over in the Jaguar creative department have gone one better by brilliantly lampooning the “look-how-amazing-these-head-rolling-chickens-are” approach of the original.
Because jaguars and creepy, dancing car technicians beat chickens every time. That is a scientific fact.
Mercedes-Benz wanted to get the point across that their cars ensure optimum driving comfort thanks to improved ‘Magic Body Control’ features, but it seems that Jaguar are more interested in “cat-like reflexes” and in taking a bite out of the opposition. Literally.

Both really are great ads as they both manage to their messages across without ever showing the final product. We wonder if they took an inspiration from the 1962 scientific study, ‘The Vestibular System of the Owl’, better known as the ‘Ro-ro-rotate Your Owl’ video…
